 CLASS of '65 45th REUNION
 Our 45th year reunion will be Saturday, June 26th' 2010 at 6pm, at the Puget Sound Yacht Club, 2321 N. Northlake Way, Seattle. It will be a very casual evening of sweet reminiscing and friendly camaraderie on the north shore of Lake Union.

Ladies Lunches (Not Necessarily for Gals Only)
Does mingling with a couple of hundred folks at the next reunion sounds too intimidating for you? But you might like to meet a few of us in a less intimidating setting? Then let Patti know that you may be interested in attending one of the small luncheon get-togethers that we do a couple of times a year.

Lonesome in Seattle?
Are you From out of town and coming to Seattle with a little time to kill? Would you like to get together with a group of SHS65 classmates maybe for a lunch or a happy hour or dinner? Let Patti know when you will be in town, and which days/nights and times would work for you.  She will send out an email to classmates in the immediate area and get a small group together at a local restaurant to say hello to you.

SCOTT RHOADS' MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
Will be the last Friday in June every year at Lake Wilderness Golf Course, Maple Valley. Contact  Jim Binder at jbb@propelineinsurance.com or call 206-676-4204 for info on how to participate or lend your support to this worthy foundation that provides 3 sizeable, yearly, scholarships for both male and female local high school athletes.
HELP MAKE THIS YEAR'S TOURNAMENT ANOTHER HUGE SUCCESS!!


Our classmate Scott Rhoads and his wife Marit Thomas (also SHS'65) were killed in the 1996 crash of TWA flight 800 off the coast of Long Island. Marit, a TWA attendant, was working on the Paris bound flight. They were going to take a quick 3 day holiday in Paris before school started. Scott was the varsity wrestling coach at Newport High for 15 years.
At the time of his death, he was also the football team's linebacker coach and the girl's varsity softball coach. Scott was also very active in local Little League and youth football associations over the years.
A group of Scott's friends and his daughter and son have established a foundation to help local graduating seniors with college tuition. The goal of the Rhoads foundation is to increase the number and amount of scholarships awarded each year. Proceeds from this golf tournament are managed to establish an endowment fund to perpetuate Scott's memory.
